Went to this gig after being up at the Berwick game at Montrose so was bit of a speedy journey down. The Queens Hall is a great venue although the seats aren’t the most comfortable. I missed Hipsway back in their classic era so this was a good chance to finally catch them.
Not sure who the support act was but they were absolutely dreadful – like something that might have been at a school end of term event. The headliners though were fantastic playing all the best tunes from their classic album. They also covered Blue Nile’s Tinseltown in the Rain but I was perhaps the only person there who wasn’t familiar with it. Great gig and great night.
I bought tickets for Level 42’s 2020 tour as Hispway were also due to be the support act but sadly COVID happened and when these were finally rearranged to this year Hispway were no longer able to appear. Was still a great gig though.
